After a 10-month hiatus, bargaining reopened in Region 1 last Tuesday with management negotiators painting a very gloomy picture of the next couple of years.
At a cordial meeting on Friday Sept. 4, Region 1 rejected our proposals and agreed to abide by the recent law on closures. They also agreed to set a date in the near future to meet over our MOU.
