Interpreter Vacancies on LAP Task Force and CIAP

The JC is accepting nominations for a contractor to join the LAP Implementation Task Force and a contractor (not Spanish) for the Court Interpreters Advisory Panel. The deadline is Dec 30.

 Announcement from the JC:

The Judicial Council of California is seeking qualified candidates to fill the current vacancies for the following advisory committees:

  1. The Language Access Plan Implementation Task Force is soliciting nominations for an Independent Contractor in a certified/registered language. (May also be eligible to apply for the position #2.); and
  2. The Court Interpreters Advisory Panel is soliciting nominations for an Independent Contractor in a Language Other than Spanish.

The nomination form (and the nominee’s biography or curriculum vitae) must be submitted by the deadline of Friday, December 30, 2016, to:

The criteria for these positions is a certified or registered interpreter in good standing with the Judicial Council, and five (5) years of experience working as a certified or registered interpreter in the California courts. Both open positions are for independent court interpreter contractors.

You may nominate a colleague, but it is recommended that you check with the colleague first to make sure that he or she is willing to serve if nominated.
